Okay, we've seen some amazing fan created Star Wars works over the past few years, but "Star Wars Begins" certainly deserves special recognition among the crowd. Created by Jambe Davdar, it serves as his "ultimate audio/visual commentary" for "Star Wars: A New Hope".

The entire Youtube-based doc comes in at an impressive 2 hours and 18 minutes, and it is truly an astounding piece of work on many levels. Davdar has unearthed some rare and extremely interesting interviews, seldom seen footage, behind-the-scenes clips and lots more.

Trust me... take the time to watch this to expand your Star Wars horizons!

Star Wars Vinylmation Droids
(Image via Disney Parks Blog)

Disney and Star Wars continue what has become an amazing synergy with the release of their new super-cute Star Wars Vinylmation Series 1 figures. The figures are only available at Disney Parks and will not be released via the online Disney Theme Park Store or local Disney Stores.

One of the creators of the line, Mike Sullivan, told the Disney Parks Blog about the process that went into creating these:

“We began with several rough sketches of characters we wanted in the series,” explained Mike. “We selected characters from ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ in honor of the film’s 30th anniversary. With so many memorable characters in the film, it was difficult to select just 12 figures. We worked closely with the great team at Lucasfilm to make the final choices for this first series.”
Head on over to read more and see more images of these swagalicious little guys.

Sillof Bob A Ford

Sillof is easily one of the most amazing toy customizers on the planet. His Steampunk Star Wars figures are still getting viral play on the web years after their debut. Well, now he's back with his new series of Star Wars themed customs titled "West Wars". And hot diggity... are they jaw dropping!

Here's the description in his own words about his inspiration for the lin:

"The original trilogy, especially A New Hope, were influenced by westerns. The dusty small frontier towns, the seedy cantina, the quick draw shootouts, etc. This line is intended to be fully western with no other elements. For further authenticity all the names are actual combinations of historical lawmen and outlaws of the American West. This line has been in the works for quite some time. Many of the figures were started after the Steam Wars line and before the Samurai & WWII lines were even begun."

Sorry I'm a bit late to the party on this one... but if you haven't seen (or at least heard of) Red Letter Media's epic reviews of the first two Star Wars prequels... you're officially out of the loop. Well, as expected, they recently delivered their review of the third and final chapter of the prequel trilogy. It's just as funny, insightful and brutally honest as the other two... so it's sure to not disappoint whether you agree or disagree with it.

And after watching the review... be sure to check out this Jim Raynor's 108 page defense of "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace". (Here's the link to the MegaUpload.) Just as epic in terms of pure geek cred!

Star Wars Post Modern Poster  Star Wars Post Modern Poster  Star Wars Post Modern Poster

Will the current wave of Star Wars inspired poster art end any time soon? I highly doubt it!

Check out these post-modern Star Wars trilogy posters by artist Jamie Bolton. Certainly interesting and thought provoking new entries into the universe. We like the "Return of the Jedi" piece the most.
