"Tragedy on Tatooine" - A Star Wars Poem

We recently heard from @DarthLuis on Twitter, who was just bursting with excitement to share with us a Star Wars poem he wrote for a creative writing class. We hope he got an "A"! Star Wars poetry isn't something you find a lot of online, and the staff here all enjoyed it... so without further ado... here's "Tragedy of Tatooine".

I went to find one of my droids and Ben showed me the ways.

When we return home my family was dead.

(I must avenge my Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.)

Ben found Han to smuggle us through,

But our destination is no longer there

Our Falcon has been through much but we will not stop now.

We conned the troopers and found new duds,

The princess is waiting for her newfound friends

(I must avenge Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.)

We found her in a very small cell

Then leapt into the trash compactor to escape the blasters

I almost die but my trusty new droid fixes all

We run to the Falcon where we find old Ben

Vader and Obi-Wan cross sabers until Ben is struck down

(I must avenge Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.)

The Alliance is formed to save the galaxy,

I use the Force and the Death Star blows up;

I confront my father and all is well again.

(I must avenge Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.)
