Image via Lego
Times Square in New York City has seen its fair share of spectacles, but ranking right up there on the list will be the spectacle caused last week by the appearance of a massive Lego X-Wing Fighter parked for all to see. Built with over 5,000,000 bricks (yeah, that's five million bricks- holy cow!) this Lego model is the largest ever built.
Crowds were in awe as they looked at the model, which has a full range of sounds effects, including a chirping and beeping R2-D2. The model weighs in at almost 23 tons and was built by over thirty Lego master builders at the Lego Model Shop in the company's facility in the the Czech Republic.
Our friends at Yodasnews.com were invited to a special VIP pre-viewing event, which was surrounded by mystery and intrigue. Please head over to check out their event coverage
as it's nothing short of spectacular!
