Clone Wars Season 2 Gets a Premiere Date

According to IESB.net, the second season of the "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" animated series will premiere on Cartoon Network on Friday, October 2, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). Apparently, the season is being titled "Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Rise of the Bounty Hunters". The tag on CartoonNetwork.com reads:

"This time, evil is for hire."

As we reported earlier here on the site, we heard from Dave Filoni, the series' supervising director, at San Diego Comic-Con that the upcoming season will feature Cad Bane and many of the other bounty hunters and be much darker in tone. Filoni even revealed there would be some serious death and carnage in the episodes ahead. Also look for a love interest for Obi-Wan Kenobi (yup, you read that right!)
