Rumor: Sony Creating a Clone Wars MMO?

An inside source at Ten Ton Hammer is reporting that Sony Online Entertainment and LucasArts are currently planning another Star Wars MMO, this one presumably based on the Clone Wars era. According to their source, the game will feature the browser-based Free Realms engine and be a more casual MMO than Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Not much more is known at this time, but online speculation seems to point to a game based on the animated Clone Wars universe, aimed at a younger audience. It would seemingly be unwise for SOE to attempt to go head-to-head with the juggernaut that Star Wars: The Old Republic is quickly becoming.
