Star Tours 2.0 Announced at D23 Expo

Today at the D23 Expo being held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA, Walt Disney Parks and Resort Chairman Jay Rasulo confirmed that their Star Tours ride will indeed be getting a facelift. Star Tours 2.0 will be a 3-D attraction and feature a podracing element as seen in "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace".

Plans have the revamped attraction being unveiled in 2011 at both the Disneyland Resort in California and Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida. The original Star Tours ride debuted in 1987. Follow this link to the official interactive press release or watch their promo video below.
