Star Wars Blu-Ray Release Set for September 27

Updating a previous story here on GalacticBinder.com, Star Wars on Blu-Ray will be released on September 27, 2011 according to the listing information at Amazon.com. The set is comprised of a 9-discs, one for each of the six films and three bonus discs that will have over thirty hours of special features. The set carries a $139.99 retail price.

George Lucas himself unveiled the news of the Blu-Ray release during his "Main Event" interview with Jon Stewart at Star Wars Celebration V in Orlando this past summer. A second confirmation was made by Lucasfilm and Twentieth Century Fox at CES earlier this month.
