Star Wars X-Wing Fighter Prop Fetches $95,000 at Auction!

On June 11th, 2010, Profiles In History held the second day of their Hollywood Auction #40 in Calabasas Hills, California. Headlining the results was the sale of Lot #889 - an original production X-Wing Fighter filming miniature from "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope". Estimated to sell for between $60,000-$80,000, the iconc starship fetched a whopping $95,000! We were able to get a preview of the item before the sale, so click through to see our photo set.

Several of the Star Wars lots - including all of the lightsabers, Yoda's cane and Princess Leia's blaster from "Return of the Jedi"- were pulled from the auction. However, an original production Y-Wing Fighter and a Stormtrooper Blaster did hit the auction block. Below is a full set of results from the Star Wars lots:
