...but we gave you the presents!
Prize List
To thank all of our users for a great first year and for helping us become the biggest Star Wars directory in the galaxy, we celebrated with a birthday party... and you were all invited. From June 1st through June 5th, 2009, we gave away a Star Destroyer full of unbelievable presents thanks to our amazing sponsors. Okay, so here's what people did to qualify to win some swag.
- Be a registered user here at GalacticBinder (1 entry)
This step was a must... people couldn't win without registering. By being a registered user here on the site, people automatically received one entry for every giveaway drawing. It was that simple. If a person was already registered, they were all set. If not we encouraged people to... register.
But we devised a way for people to help their odds a little. There were two other ways to get extra entries into each contest...
- Follow us on MySpace, Twitter and/or Facebook (up to 3 extra entries)
Use these buttons to join us:   
Once people were on board, they used our Contact Us form to let us know. They included their GalacticBinder user name along with their Twitter, MySpace and/or Facebook screen name so we could confirm them and add their entries. If they had already joined us on these social media outlets, great... they had saved a step. They Just contacted us and let us know the same info. For each place they joined us, we gave an extra entry into each drawing.
- Send us sites to add to the directory (limitless extra entries)
Yes, we said limitless! Using our Fans Suggest Listings form, people sent us qualified Star Wars themed websites to add as listings to the directory. We gave them an extra entry for every one we accepted. This form has a place for email and GB username, so we used these to properly credit entries.
What's a "qualified" site? First, people made sure the entry was NOT already in the directory. Second, the site must have a central Star Wars focus or contain a sizable amount of Star Wars themed content, merchandise etc. For instance, a blog that has one Star Wars themed post in five years does not qualify... however, a blog by a member of the 501st who posts about Star Wars regularly certainly does!

Terms and Conditions: 1. Each person is eligible to win two prizes - one being a comic book or Bust-Up and the other being anything else.
2. False, fraudulent, or deceptive entries or acts will render entrant(s) and entries ineligible.
3. No responsibility is assumed by GalacticBinder for lost, late, misdirected, or illegible entries or any computer, online telephone, or technical malfunctions (including inability to access the GalacticBinder.com site) that may occur during the giveaway/contest.
4. Winner(s) must be registered GalacticBinder.com users and will be selected at random by the GalacticBinder.com staff. Winners must check the prize list and follow the instructions to claim their prizes. Winners will not be notified up front via email that they've won.
5. Selected winner will have 2 days from their name being posted to confirm. After two days, a new winner will be selected
6. All items will be shipped at the expense of GalacticBinder.com (or its sponsors)
7. International entries are welcomed unless noted. However, all taxes, tariffs, import fees, VAT etc are the sole responsibility of the winner
8. GalacticBinder will not be held responsible for lost/damaged items during shipping
9. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received
10. Prizes are not redeemable for cash
11. Taxes on all prizes are the sole reponsibility of the winner
12. No substitution, transfer, or assignment of prize(s) permitted, except that sponsors of contest reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event an offered prize is no longer available
13. Any entry information collected from the giveaway shall be used only in a manner consistent with the consent given by entrants at the time of the entry, with these Official Rules and with GalacticBinder's Privacy Policy
14. Patricipants consent to the use of their names, photographs, and related statements by GalacticBinder in advertising, promotional materials, and on its website, throughout the world in perpetuity, without notice or compensation, unless prohibited by law.
15. Patricipants waive all claim(s) for damages, losses, costs or expenses of any kind in relation to the contest/giveaway, and the entrant assumes all liability for injury or damage caused or alleged to be caused by participation in the contest/giveaway and/or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.
16. Employees, officers, and members of GalacticBinder (and their immediate family members - including parents, spouses, children, and siblings) are not eligible to participate or win.
17. Use of any device to automate the entry process is prohibited
18. If in the sole opinion of GalacticBinder, the giveaway is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud or technical failures or if anything corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this giveaway, GalacticBinder reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the giveaway or any portion thereof.
19. Galacticbinder reserves the right to cancel or disqualify any entry found in violation of stated rules & guidelines
20. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules & guidelines and the decisions of the GalacticBinder team - which are final and binding in all respects
