Star Wars Celebration VII

Star Wars Day 2010

Star Wars Day Flier On Saturday February 20th, 2010, The Force invaded the Frank and Son Collectible Show in City of Industry, California. The show hosted their very own Star Wars Day and featured autograph opportunities with none other than Ray Park (Darth Maul) and Daniel Logan (Boba Fett).  An eager crowd gathered early and formed a long, winding line to meet these special guests.  Ever the gracious professionals, Park and Logan happily greeted each fan with a smile.

The atmosphere was certainly family friendly and Saber Guild gave three performances of their Force Experience exhibition.   With a well tuned sound system, the show featured several Jedi taking on a gang of Sith Lords who were looking to eradicate them at the bidding of their master, Darth Sidious.  The appearance of Darth Vader near the end of the show was certainly a crowd pleaser!

Other groups in attendance were the LA Jedi, the Southern California Garrison of the 501st Legion, the Rebel Legion and the Mandalorian Mercs.  All those in costume happily posed for pictures with fans young and old.  Seeing the costumed members wandering the halls of the exhibit floor, browsing for merchandise, seemed to put a smile on almost every face in the crowd.
The show also featured uniquely drawn sketch cards and artwork by some amazing Star Wars artists. Fan favorites including Randy Martinez, Denise Vasquez, Hal Hefner & Mat Nastos and William O'Neill were all in attendance.
